Amazing Skateboard Guitars
The
first electric guitar was born in the 40´s and the birth of the
Skateboard back in the 70´s, 40 years later they have merged to give
birth to the Skate Guitar!
The Skate Guitar is a team includes design made by Ezequiel Galasso (luthier) and Gianfranco De Gennaro (Pro Skater and guitar player). It’s build based on skateboards reuse. With two used or broken skateboards they made a complete guitar, body and neck. Their intention is to achieve a simple and functional instrument, using the quality of the laminated maple, a 24” ¾ scale and the accessories selected according to the particular style of each skateboard. Their instruments are completely handmade, one by one, by Ezequiel Galasso in Skate Guitar`s workshop located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Product designers have been recycling
skateboards for years now, using them for everything from household
design items all the way to sunglasses, but this is definitely amazing
to be used for a musical instrument. Seeing that the guitars are hand
made from thrashed skateboards, each and every Skate Guitar is truly unique. Check out some of the photos of these things below.
